Do I really need a BLOG on my website?

We’re often asked by HVAC clients if they need a blog on their website. The short answer – YES. Here are the top three reasons that blogging benefits your HVAC or contractor company:

The more that consumers (potential customers) see that a company is knowledgeable, trustworthy, and reputable (and in their market—if they’re local), the more likely they’ll contact you when service is needed. After all, a big part of your online presence should be focused on establishing solid connections with current and new customers.  Building relationships by serving as the online “go to guy or gal” when your customers have questions is a great way to consistently demonstrate your expertise and willingness to help.  Be honest and straightforward with your articles and don’t get hung up on the length.  When you have helpful tips or news to share….share it!

We’ve said it before, but we’ll say it again: Google ranks web pages, not websites. So if you want more visitors to your website, you need to fresh relative content on website pages. A blog or “news” page is a smart, simple way to do this.

Social media is all about sharing news, tips and ideas! Share a blog post that talks about what to look for when your AC system might need a repair. Or, how about a blog on why your furnace may be leaking water? These helpful blogs will not only resonate with your audience but it will provide them with answers they might have been looking for.  And best of all – by clicking on the link on social media, you’re leading them to your website! So, if they click your social post and read your article/blog….they just may realize that they need your service.
